Lina is president and founder of Bowman Asset Management, Inc. With more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Lina offers a wide array of financial services. She has obtained several financial registrations, including the FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65. She also holds life and health insurance, as well as variable licenses in several states. She has obtained her MBA from the University of Michigan and a bachelor of science in engineering from Michigan State University.
In 1992, Lina founded the company Successful Money Management of Michigan, Inc. (SMMM). This company focused on providing comprehensive financial education on all aspects of investment planning, retirement planning, and investment vehicles. In the early 1990s, the “Successful Money Management Seminar” and the “Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement Seminar” were sponsored by the Grosse Pointe War Memorial and offered through its community education program. They were also offered to the public through several community colleges and to private corporations as an employee benefit to help reduce fiduciary liability, as described by ERISA. SMMM’s courses were also sponsored by the City of Detroit and offered to the city’s employees.
Lina began her career in business at IBM in the early 1980s. The IBM basic beliefs of respect for the individual, putting customers first, and doing things right the first time continue to be a major influence in Lina's business practices.
Lina is a resident of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, and a proud member of the Grosse Pointe Rotary Club. She enjoys spending time with her children, family, and friends. In her free time, she loves traveling, reading, cooking, learning about nutrition, and playing squash.
